Today, 21 modern states have a coastline on the Mediterranean Sea. The history of this area is absolutely incredible and I would like to explore some of it as I explore the lifestyles of this region. Typically when we think of Mediterranean living we think of Spain, France, Italy, and maybe Greece as we always see beautiful photos from all these areas. The Mediterranean Riviera is actually one of the most popular holiday destination in the world and runs from southeast France to Northwest Italy. This is the area I would like to focus on to begin with because I have actually visited and fell in love with Barcelona in Spain, Nice in France, and Portofino in Italy. Each of these areas have a variation on the Mediterranean style including the Spanish Style, French Country Style, and Tuscan Style. When can I book my flight, I'm SO ready to go back!
